Ciate Nail Day: Round-up

It’s about time, but I’m finally finishing up the Ciate Mini Mani Month box. I decided to go ahead and wear five colors at once and then just take a picture of the last 7 bottles. I got ridiculously behind. With work, switching jobs, interviews, and life, painting my nails didn’t happen much.

Without further ado I give you the colors:

colornails1

In order of left to right on nails: Headliner, Fade to Greige, Mojito, Big Yellow Taxi, Speed Dial

The yellow(big yellow taxi), green (mojito), and orange (speed dial) were by far the most difficult to apply thus far. They were very watery when I applied them. It took many, many coats to get a solid color formed.

And here are the remaining bottles: bottles2Bottles from left to right: Glass Slipper, Power Dressing, Candyshop (caviar pearls), Magic Carpet, Sundance (caviar pearls), Enchanted Rose, Cookies and Cream

I love the color names of this whole box. Ciate is definitely going to have my vote for favorite nail polish for a long time.

Which is your favorite: Ciate, Essie, OPI, another??

Ciate Nail Day: Twilight

Next up in the Ciate Mini Mani Month is Twilight!

This black nail polish has flecks of gold in it making it a great choice for outfits. It goes with everything yet has a bit of something extra to it. The gold flecks really come out in the sunlight, making it look more gold than black.

I will admit, this nail polish was more of a pain than any others I’ve used so far in this set. It dried quicker, probably because of the high density of gold, but this caused it to clump while painting so it was very difficult to get it even.

Please forgive my old lady looking hands, the cold and dry winter weather always makes my skin look like I’m well over 25 years!

Ciate: Vintage Nail Day

Here is day 8 of Ciate’s Mini Mani Month. A gorgeous color called Vintage. I’ve been wearing a lot of gray this week so this bluish-gray has been a perfect color. I love it. And so far all these nail polishes have really held up well. This picture was taken today and I painted my nails on sunday so that gives you a great idea of how well this stuff does. :)

I have skipped three colors, which is what this second image is. I’m going to try the caviar pearls at some point, I just don’t want to waste them without an occasion because I type on a computer all day and I’m worried they would just be falling off all over my desk. Kinda awkward at work! The other two: angel wings and cutie pie I just skipped because I wanted some color. :)

Ciate: Cabaret Nail Day

So, the quality of these images are horrible, I know. I apologize. The problem is, when I got really clear pictures, the color came out wrong. This nail polish is beautiful which is irritating because I really wanted to show it off. This so far is by FAR my favorite.

I must also add a note while you are reading this about the previous polish I posted, Halo, that was a b!tch to remove! The glitter took about 10-15 minutes to completely get off. I don’t recommend it.

Onto Cabaret though…. the second picture is closer to the true color. I would describe it as a berry/wine/burgundy color. Seriously, though, it’s gorgeous. If you can only buy one Ciate color, so far, buy this one!!ciate1

Ciate: Halo Nail Days

For the next day in the Ciate Mini Mani Month, we have Halo. It’s a sheer glittery nail polish that is definitely meant to be worn over another nail polish.

To me, it’s one of those that you have that you think about using, but never actually use. In these pictures I have about 4 – 5 layers of this nail polish on so that you could see the effect and its sheerness.
